Social Development department reiterates commitment to strengthening SASSA grants

Social Development Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her aid and determination to improving upon South African Social Security Company (SASSA) services during an engagement together with the agency's senior managers in a strategic setting up session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the numerous social grant beneficiaries, who excelled inside the 2024 matric exams.
Of the 724 156 full-time learners who registered with the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing eighty one% on the registered pupils inside the education sector.
These learners obtained a commendable pass rate of 86%.
